Batmans and More Espers!

So, I've finished Final Fantasy 6. Finally. I had the playstation version a long long time ago, but i never got around to finishing it. I think it's because I got it after i got part 7. And part 7 was in 3D. You can probably see why i played that one more. Anyway, I am glad i have that out of the way. And i was happy with the end. Strangely though, i had no trouble with the last boss at all. Well, not entirely.

You see, i had some trouble getting to the last boss. So i decided to level the characters a bit and i think i got carried away. Most the party were around level 50 (45 is reccomended for the last boss) and two of my girls were level 70. One of them, get this, could hit up to 8 times per turn.

Doing a little research on the DS version of Final Fantasy 3, to see if its worth getting. But 6, is widely regarded as a classic, and theres a lot of words debated on whether or not its better than 7. Graphics wise, of course 7 is the victor. I'd have to give points to 6's battle system though, which is very very flexible. And of course, they give you like 14 characters to mooch around with.

Onto another Geeky subject, I got Batman: The Brave and the Bold off of Wilson recently. It's an awesome show. The art style is reminiscent of the old Adam West TV show, and it's very very cheesy.
Batman approves. And so do i, because it's pretty easy to draw the B&B Batman :P

Masking tape fixes everything

yes, that's me on the right, in the robin costume. i think that if my parents had bought me a batman outfit, i might have turned out to be a completely different person. but that is another pant leg in the trousers of time, isn't it?

lately i have become somewhat of an odd-job man for my uncle and aunt. i run about delivering and picking up papers and for the past few days have been helping them move out of their house. this includes going through old photographs, which turned up that little gem above. that's my little sister on the left by the way. if only they stayed like that.

today i learned a very important lesson. that lesson is with enough masking tape you can fix pretty much anything. my grandmother gave me the task of fixing an old cork table that had been swollen and broken, somehow water had gotten into the cork of the table and warped it considerably. i fixed it. using masking tape.

obviously this means that any D.I.Y. that i shall attempt from now on can be handled confidently with masking tape in hand.

also, from Wilson i have leeched seasons 4 and 5 of the Justice League. i think it is safe to say that i have an unhealthy obsession with Wonder Woman. like i said, if only the 'rents had bought me a batman outfit...

so, the dark knight aye? twas amazing.

now i'm not a die-hard batman fan. i appreciate the batman, and what his appeal is. i mean, he doesn't have any superpowers, in a world when men can fly, set themselves on fire, and create forcefields with an energy ring. yet batman is the one who pulls the justice league out of the fire more often than not. he's the man.

the movie was...well, you watch it and you don't think, "this is a superhero movie". if it didn't have a man in a batsuit it would be a detective film, y'know? at the end of the day though, i didn't leave the cinema thinking, man, batman is awesome. i left thinking, my god, the joker is crazy.

he steals the show. every single scene he is in is memorable, he has such stage presence, he does. Heath Ledger deserves a post-humous oscar for it, no doubt about it. in fact, if he doesn't get one, i will be very upset. i have never seen such energy and effort put into a role like the jokers. at the end of the day, he's batmans foil, he's anarchy personified where batman represents justice and redemption.

it's just such a shame that Christian Bale is a poor batman, not the worst batman though ( i still think that honor goes to George Clooney...uuurgggh) . that. voice. is. terrible. honestly, i wanted to give him a cough drop. clear your throat when you talk Mr. Bale! then maybe people will understand you!

Michael Caine and Aaron Eckhart were also amazing, as was Gary Oldman. in fact, just about everyone in the movie was amazing, except for Christian Bale. ah well, he tried >_<

i watched the movie twice on thursday, the day it was released. once with Lawrence, The Griff and John, and the second time with Ronron, The Griff and Arjay. and it was even better the second time. watch this movie.

also notice how i tried not to spoil the movie for you, why would i do that? you need to experience it for yourself!
