He takes another home again, to find me waiting for him.

I was also surprised to learn that I knew the words to Boyzones "No Matter What"

Yesterday was the three year anniversary of my fathers passing. I tried my hardest not to be sad or depressed or lkjhgfdsa or anything, but I will admit a couple of moments of passing despondency. For instance, at one in the morning when John and I went out and the clubs were full of happy gyrating people and I just felt sick and claustrophobic.

Drawing does help though, and I shall keep my sad comic in my black folder. (Emo, much?)

Now I shall return to the drawing table, got some freelance work to do.

They better be Chicken Flavored

Me and John went to Blackrock Depths and totally keeled the Emperor. He's the guy with the glowy swords, I'm the Blood Elf chick >_>

I don't mind playing a female character, to be honest. At the end of the day, for me, the traits that I associate with a character will keep me interested in playing them rather than whether or not they're male or female. For example, Seida the Death Knight used to be Seida the Hunter. When I got Wrath I wanted to make a Death Knight, and really liked the name Seida. Also, I thought it would be cool to have a backstory set already, and Seida was a hunter who fell to the Scourge and rose again to serve the Lich King.

I would write more about my life at the moment, but it's kinda depressing at the moment, so I'll wait until I can think of something interesting and not self-whiney. Acha?

Funerals and Chickenheads

So my internet has been playing up for the past couple of days, but it's all better now :D

yeah, last night i was struck with this vision of a man with the head of a chicken, and was worried that if i didn't draw it i would lose the idea. Thus, Magni Chickenhead was born. He is a man, with the head of a chicken. for further clarification, check the above diagram.

Had to go to a funeral today, so i put on my suit, went to pick up my aunt and her kids and then made my to the church. My grandad's brother passed away this monday, and at first i wasn't too concerned because i hadn't seen him in ages. Then i was there, in front of his casket in the middle of this packed church and i saw his face. He looked...peaceful, as most dead people tend to look, and then the memories came back. I can't believe that i forgot all the things he said to me when i was younger.

My uncle was...a great man, always encouraging and practical. I'm going to miss him, and of course feel really guilty for not spending more time with him.

Of course, i could just draw more pictures of men with chicken heads.

I threw a beanbag at her

I am depressed. There are all the signs, (and the sighs) and this bug that my lovely cousins have bestowed upon me. Then there are all the usual worries that i have, that i'm not doing anything in particular with my life, that the girl that i love is a thousand million kabillion miles away, that i don't have a job!

man...i'm going to give myself early wrinkles and a receding hairline if i don't deal with this soon.

We want you to use this cheesegrater here.

yes, when you ask people what they want drawn it comes down to about three different things. it's either

A) them

people are vain. heck, i'm vain. in my case it's alright, since i exude a sense of rugged handsomeness it would be silly not to be vain. where was i? anyways, yes, people ask me to draw them alot. even after they've seen me draw! it's weird!

B) something extremely complicated

a shining example being the comic above, which is loosely based on a conversation i had with someone who shall remain un-named. my personal favorite was back at the comic convention when a kid asked me to draw the justice league. in space. fighting dragons.

C) them doing something extremely complicated

heck, people like to see themselves doing awesome cake stuff. like fighting the justice league. in space. on the back of a dragon.

also, listening to sad songs is not the way to counter depression, just tossing that out there. i'm working on it though! i think i just need to find what is known as a distraction.

Let's be educational

Theres a Gaelic word that doesn't really have a translation to english that describes how i'm feeling right now.

A Hiraedd isn't really depression per se. It's more of a longing for something that you know will really never happen. It's partly being realistic, and somehow comparable to homesickness more than anything. This is a term that was created by people of long, dark moorlands and daunting, craggy mountains. These people know what depression is.

Also, i would so totally wear a flaming scorpion t-shirt, wouldn't you?

Depression is me!

The Albie was down today. Like...in the proverbial dumps. I have no idea why this is or why I'm referring to myself in the third person. To counter this, i drew a picture. You can look at it, because it's at the top of this blog post. I'm thoughtful like that.

So yeah, when I'm feeling down, i find that sometimes the best thing to do is to step back and see what you can do to stop yourself from feeling bad. Most of the time i draw something, or play a video game.

Lately i've been listening to Queen. I think they're my favourite band. I might have to give it some more time, but i haven't gotten tired of listening to them yet...so i may be on to something. Rock is fun. while we're still on music, The Beach Boys song Cocomo has been stuck in my head for a while as well.

So...hopefully the next blogpost is more happy, with fucking fluffy bunnies and awesome cake unicorns. not that the bunnies will be fucking...well...i dunno... that depends on how many hits that makes me.
